Sania Mirza posts new photo on Instagram amid divorce rumours
Sania Mirza, an Indian tennis player, and Shoaib Malik, a Pakistani cricketer, have recently been the subject of much debate on social media due to reports about their alleged divorce.
The couple, who have been apart for the past 12 years and have a four-year-old son together, are co-parenting their child, according to a Gulf News story.
The newspaper reported that it attempted to get in touch with Sania's management team for a remark but that effort was unsuccessful. Similar to that, Geo Claim reached out to former cricket captain Malik to corroborate the news, but despite seeing the message, he didn't respond.
The couple has not yet commented on the situation, leaving followers anxiously awaiting information. But despite all the rumours, Sania updated her Instagram page with a fresh photo.
She might be seen in the image out for a stroll while dressed for the gym. In the image, the 35-year-old could be seen grinning. However, she chose not to caption the image with words and instead added two palm trees and two hands making a heart shape as emojis.
The image received more than 23,000 likes and more than 200 messages in less than 15 minutes after being live.
Fans questioned the athlete about her conceivable separation in the comments area, but they received no responses.
Sania and Malik's breakup was initially said to have gone viral in 2012, thus this is not the first time it has happened. However, as of right now, the news is just based on rumours, so until the couple makes an official announcement, nothing can be declared with certainty.
